Present Continuous dla przyszłości - plany i ustalenia

CKE wymaga Present Continuous na poziomie podstawowym i rozszerzonym oraz podaje bezpośredni przykład przyszłego ustalenia: My parents are leaving on holiday tomorrow.

Present Continuous znamy z:

I'm studying now.

Ale ten sam czas może opisywać przyszłość:

I'm meeting Tom tomorrow.
We're flying to Rome on Friday.
She's having dinner with Anna tonight.
My parents are leaving on holiday tomorrow.

To nie czynności wykonywane teraz, lecz ustalone przyszłe plany.

Budowa

am/is/are + verb-ing

I'm meeting Tom.
She's leaving tomorrow.
We're flying on Friday.

Przeczenia:

I'm not working tomorrow.
Tom isn't coming tonight.
We aren't staying there next week.

Pytania:

Are you working tomorrow?
Is Kate coming tonight?
Are they staying with you?

What are you doing tonight?
Where are you staying?
When are you leaving?
Who are you meeting?

I'm seeing the dentist tomorrow at three.

To nie ogólny zamiar pójścia kiedyś do dentysty, lecz umówiona wizyta.

We're meeting outside the cinema at 6.30.

Zdanie przedstawia konkretny arrangement.

Spotkania, podróże i wydarzenia

Umówione spotkania

I'm meeting Anna after school.
We're seeing Tom on Saturday.
I'm having lunch with my manager tomorrow.
Kate is meeting her teacher at four.

Podróże

We're flying to Spain on Friday.
I'm leaving for London tomorrow.
They're travelling to Berlin next weekend.
We're staying near the airport.

Podróże często mają bilety, rezerwacje i konkretne terminy, dlatego Present Continuous brzmi naturalnie.

Osobiste wydarzenia

We're having a party on Saturday.
I'm starting my new job next Monday.
My sister is getting married in June.
We're having dinner with our neighbours tonight.

Najbliższa przyszłość

What are you doing tonight?

To pytanie o plany, nie o czynność wykonywaną teraz. Jeśli kontekst już określa czas, nie trzeba go powtarzać:

A: What are you doing this weekend?
B: I'm visiting my grandparents.

Going to czy Present Continuous?

Zamiar

I'm going to visit Japan next year.

Arrangement

I'm flying to Japan on 12 July.

Plan jest konkretniejszy i zorganizowany.

Porównaj:

I'm going to see a doctor. - postanowiłem, że pójdę
I'm seeing a doctor at four tomorrow. - mam wizytę

We're going to have a party. - podjęliśmy plan
We're having a party on Saturday; everyone is invited. - konkretne ustalenie

Obie formy mogą być poprawne:

I'm going to meet Anna tomorrow.
I'm meeting Anna tomorrow.

Present Continuous vs will

A: We need somebody to talk to the teacher.
B: I'll do it. - spontaniczna decyzja

I'm talking to the teacher after school. - wcześniejsze ustalenie

I think Tom will come. - przewidywanie
Tom is coming at six. - ustalony przyjazd

Present Continuous vs Present Simple

We're flying to Madrid tomorrow. - osobiste ustalenie
Our flight leaves at 8.20. - rozkład

We're leaving for London tomorrow.
The train leaves at 6.45.

Present Continuous przedstawia osobisty arrangement, Present Simple oficjalny rozkład, program lub harmonogram.

Tomorrow nie wybiera czasu

Porównaj cztery zdania:

I think it'll rain tomorrow. - opinia
I'm going to study tomorrow. - zamiar
I'm meeting Kate tomorrow. - ustalenie
The train leaves tomorrow at seven. - rozkład

Samo tomorrow nie oznacza Future Simple ani Present Continuous. Najpierw ustalamy znaczenie.

Ważne czasowniki i pułapki

Częste czasowniki: meet, see, come, go, leave, arrive, fly, travel, stay, visit, have, start.

See

I see what you mean. - rozumiem, Present Simple
I'm seeing my dentist tomorrow. - mam wizytę

Have

I have a car. - posiadanie
I'm having lunch with Kate tomorrow. - wydarzenie

Come

Are you coming to the party tonight?

To naturalne pytanie o ustalony lub oczekiwany udział.

Going

I'm going to London tomorrow.

I'm going to visit London.

Tutaj going to + visit tworzy konstrukcję przyszłą.

Stative verbs

❌ I'm knowing the answer tomorrow.
❌ I'm believing him next week.

Czasowniki opisujące stan wymagają innej konstrukcji.

Time expressions

Częste: tonight, tomorrow, this evening, this weekend, next week, on Friday, at six.

I'm working tomorrow.
I'm not working tomorrow, so we can meet.

Oba zdania naturalnie opisują ustalony grafik.

Present Continuous na maturze

Pytania o plany:

What are you doing this weekend?
Are you going out tonight?
Are you working tomorrow?
Where are you staying in London?
Who are you travelling with?

Przykładowa odpowiedź:

I'm spending the first two weeks of July with my family. We're travelling to Italy and we're staying near Rome. After that, I'm going to look for a summer job because I'd like to save money.

We're travelling/staying opisuje ustalone elementy wyjazdu, a I'm going to look zamiar. Naturalna wypowiedź łączy różne formy.
