Porównaj dwa zdania:
I lost my keys.
I've lost my keys.
I lost my keys informuje o wydarzeniu w przeszłości. I've lost my keys podkreśla rezultat ważny teraz: prawdopodobnie nadal nie mam kluczy.
- aktualny rezultat wydarzenia,
- doświadczenie do tej pory,
- sytuację rozpoczętą wcześniej i nadal trwającą,
- osiągnięcia lub zmiany w niezakończonym okresie,
- ukończenie czynności przed inną przyszłą czynnością.
Budowa Present Perfect
Schemat:
have/has + past participle (III forma)
| Osoba | Forma |
|---|---|
| I / you / we / they | have worked |
| he / she / it | has worked |
Skróty: I've, you've, we've, they've, he's, she's.
He's może oznaczać he is albo he has:
He's tired. = He is tired.
He's finished. = He has finished.
Przeczenia
have/has + not + past participle
I haven't finished.
She hasn't called.
Tom hasn't arrived.
Pytania
Have/Has + subject + past participle?
Have you finished?
Has she arrived?
Have they seen this film?
❌ Do you have finished?
✅ Have you finished?
Pytania z WH-:
Where have you been?
What have you done?
How long have you lived here?
How many countries has she visited?
Krótkie odpowiedzi:
Have you finished? - Yes, I have. / No, I haven't.
Has Kate arrived? - Yes, she has. / No, she hasn't.
Past Participle
| Infinitive | Past Simple | Past Participle |
|---|---|---|
| be | was/were | been |
| become | became | become |
| begin | began | begun |
| break | broke | broken |
| bring | brought | brought |
| buy | bought | bought |
| come | came | come |
| do | did | done |
| drink | drank | drunk |
| drive | drove | driven |
| eat | ate | eaten |
| fall | fell | fallen |
| feel | felt | felt |
| find | found | found |
| forget | forgot | forgotten |
| get | got | got/gotten |

| see | saw | seen |
| speak | spoke | spoken |
| take | took | taken |

❌ I have saw. → ✅ I have seen.
❌ She has went. → ✅ She has gone.
❌ Have you ever ate sushi? → ✅ Have you ever eaten sushi?
Po have/has potrzebujesz III formy.
Zastosowanie Present Perfect
1. Wydarzenie z rezultatem ważnym teraz
I've lost my keys. - teraz ich nie mam
I've broken my glasses. - teraz są zepsute
She's forgotten her password. - teraz nie może się zalogować
Tom has missed the bus. - autobus odjechał i Tom ma problem
Somebody has eaten my sandwich. - kanapki już nie ma
Porównaj:
I've lost my keys. - aktualny rezultat
I lost my keys yesterday, but I found them later. - zakończona historia
Present Perfect nie oznacza po prostu „niedawno”. Liczy się związek z teraz.
2. Doświadczenia życiowe
Have you ever been to Italy?
Have you ever tried sushi?
I've visited London several times.
Nie podajemy konkretnego zakończonego momentu.
Ever oznacza „kiedykolwiek”:
Have you ever travelled abroad?
Have you ever met a famous person?
Never już zawiera przeczenie:
I've never been to Japan.
She's never flown by plane.
❌ I haven't never been there.
✅ I've never been there.
Gdy podajemy konkretny szczegół, przechodzimy zwykle na Past Simple:
Have you ever been to Paris?
Yes, I have. I went there last summer.
3. Brak zakończonego momentu
I've seen this film. - liczy się doświadczenie
I saw this film last Friday. - zakończony moment
Past Simple często odpowiada na pytanie „kiedy?”: yesterday, last year, in 2023, two days ago. Present Perfect dotyczy okresu do teraz lub aktualnego rezultatu: ever, never, already, yet, just, so far.
Słowa pomagają, ale sens jest ważniejszy.
4. Sytuacja rozpoczęta wcześniej i nadal trwająca
I have lived here for five years.
Zacząłem pięć lat temu i nadal tu mieszkam.
I've known Kate since primary school.
We've been married for ten years.
She has worked here since 2022.
I've had this phone for three years.
I have been here since Monday.
Since i for
since = od jakiego momentu?
for = jak długo?
Since wskazuje punkt początkowy: since Monday, since 2020, since May, since yesterday, since I was a child.
For wskazuje okres: for two days, for five years, for a month, for ages.
I've lived here since 2020.
I've lived here for six years.
❌ since five years → ✅ for five years
❌ for 2021 → ✅ since 2021
Since może wprowadzać zdanie:
I've known him since we were children.
I haven't seen Tom since he moved to London.
Po since często występuje Past Simple, gdy wskazujemy wydarzenie rozpoczynające okres.
How long...?
How long have you lived here?
How long has she worked here?
How long have you known Tom?
Czasowniki statyczne:
I've known her for ten years.
I've had this car for three years.
Nie mówimy w zwykłym znaczeniu have been knowing ani have been having, gdy have oznacza posiadanie.
Just, already i yet
Just
have/has + just + V3
I've just finished.
She's just arrived.
We have just had dinner.
Najbezpieczniejsza pozycja to między have/has i III formą.
Already
I've already finished.
Kate has already left.
The show has already finished.
Have you finished yet?
I haven't finished yet.
Has Tom arrived yet?
Zapamiętaj:
I've already done it.
Have you done it yet?
I haven't done it yet.
Still w przeczeniu:
I still haven't finished.
She still hasn't replied.
So far i up to now
I've read three books so far this month.
So far, nobody has complained.
We've had no problems up to now.
Today, this week, this year
Jeżeli okres nadal trwa, Present Perfect jest naturalny:
I've had three coffees today.
We've had two tests this week.
She has travelled abroad twice this year.
Nie ucz się jednak „today = Present Perfect”. O 20:00 poranek jest zakończony:
I had two coffees this morning.
O 10:00 możemy powiedzieć:
I've had two coffees this morning.
Wybór zależy od perspektywy mówiącego.
This is the first time...
This/It is the first time + Present Perfect
It's the first time I have tried a passion fruit.
This is the first time I've driven a car.
It's the second time she's forgotten her password.
❌ This is the first time I drove.
✅ This is the first time I've driven.
Gdy punktem odniesienia jest przeszłość:
It was the first time I had travelled alone.
The best... I've ever...
It's the best film I've ever seen.
She's the most interesting person I've ever met.
This is the worst hotel we've ever stayed in.
Porównujemy z całym doświadczeniem do teraz:
The best place I've ever visited is Rome. I went there two years ago.
Present Perfect otwiera doświadczenie, Past Simple podaje szczegół.
Recently i lately
I've seen Tom several times recently.
She hasn't been well lately.
We've received many complaints recently.
Been czy gone?
has gone to - pojechał i jeszcze nie wrócił
has been to - odwiedził i wrócił
has been in - przebywa w miejscu przez pewien czas
Tom has gone to the supermarket. - teraz go tu nie ma
Tom has been to Italy three times. - doświadczenie
I've been in London for three days. - nadal jestem w Londynie
Where's Kate? She's gone to the bank.
Have you ever been to Spain?
❌ I've never gone to London.
✅ I've never been to London.
Present Perfect vs Past Simple
Zakończony czas → Past Simple
I saw Tom yesterday.
Did you go to Italy last year?
Tom left school in 2024.
I've seen that film.
Have you ever visited Scotland?
Sytuacja nadal trwa → Present Perfect
Kate has worked here since 2020.
Sytuacja zakończona → Past Simple
Kate worked here from 2020 to 2024.
I lived there for five years, but then I moved.
Żyjąca osoba i zakończona historia
Adele has released several albums. - dorobek do teraz
Shakespeare wrote many plays. - zakończone życie i twórczość
Pytanie when
Have you ever been to New York?
When did you go?
I went in 2024.
W zwykłym pytaniu o konkretną wizytę nie używamy When have you gone?.
Ago, for, since i last
I moved here five years ago. - moment przeprowadzki
I've lived here for five years. - nadal tu mieszkam
I last saw Kate in January.
I haven't seen Kate since January.
It's been three years since I last saw Anna.
I haven't seen Anna for three years.
To klasyczny materiał do transformacji.
Present Perfect Continuous
Pełna lekcja będzie następna. Najważniejsza różnica:
I've read three books this month. - rezultat/liczba
I've been reading all morning. - proces/czas trwania
I've painted the kitchen. - rezultat
I've been painting the kitchen. - proces, być może nieskończony
Niektóre czasowniki preferują Simple:
I've known her for years.
I've had this car since 2022.
Przy live i work obie formy bywają poprawne:
I've lived here for five years.
I've been living here for five years.
Simple częściej przedstawia sytuację jako fakt, Continuous mocniej podkreśla trwanie. For nie oznacza automatycznie Continuous.
Strona bierna
Schemat:
have/has + been + past participle
They have completed the project.
The project has been completed.
The documents have been sent.
A new sports centre has been built.
The problem has already been solved.
Porównaj:
The house has been built. - strona bierna, built
Tom has been building the house. - Present Perfect Continuous, building
Zdania dotyczące przyszłości
Na rozszerzeniu Present Perfect może pojawić się po when, after, as soon as, once, gdy podkreślamy ukończenie pierwszej czynności przed kolejną:
I will serve dinner as soon as you have set the table.
I'll call you when I've finished.
We'll go out after we've eaten.
Once you've read the report, let me know.
Porównaj:
I'll call when I finish.
I'll call when I've finished.
Obie wersje bywają poprawne. Present Perfect mocniej podkreśla ukończenie pierwszej czynności.
Present Perfect na maturze
Matura ustna
Have you ever travelled abroad?
Yes, I have. I've visited several countries. Last year, I went to Italy and spent a week in Rome.
Doświadczenie do teraz → Present Perfect. Konkretna historia → Past Simple.
Writing
Present Perfect przydaje się do opisywania doświadczeń, zmian i aktualnych skutków:
I've recently started learning Spanish.
Our school has introduced new activities.
Technology has changed the way we communicate.
Online learning has become increasingly popular.
Poziom podstawowy
Opanuj: have/has + V3, nieregularne formy, just/already/yet, ever/never, since/for, sytuacje trwające do teraz, doświadczenia, różnicę z Past Simple, been/gone i This is the first time....
Poziom rozszerzony
Dodatkowo: zakończone i niezakończone okresy, been to/gone to/been in, superlative + I've ever, transformacje last/since/for/ago, stronę bierną, kontrast z Continuous oraz Present Perfect w przyszłych zdaniach czasowych.
