Tekst 1

When I first signed up at the city museum, I imagined myself spending Saturday afternoons showing families around the galleries. I enjoyed that, but after I started a weekend course, the hours clashed almost every week. The coordinator suggested I help with the museum's online archive instead. I wasn't enthusiastic at first - it sounded lonely and rather administrative. In fact, I've ended up learning far more about the collection than I ever did on the gallery floor, and I can work whenever I have a free evening. I still miss chatting to visitors, but I wouldn't go back to the old role now.

Tekst 2

If you're interested in how everyday technology developed, the new Design in Motion exhibition is worth seeing. Several displays are interactive, so visitors can actually operate simplified versions of old machines rather than just looking at them behind glass. I particularly liked the section on early household appliances, although the final room felt rather rushed and could have used clearer explanations. Tickets aren't cheap, but the exhibition is large enough to justify the price, especially if you allow at least two hours.

Tekst 3

At our first planning meeting, someone suggested replacing individual desks with long shared tables. I objected immediately because I assumed the extra noise would make concentration worse. The team didn't push the idea through straight away. Instead, we tested one room for three weeks and compared noise levels, staff feedback and the number of interruptions with the old layout. The surprising result was that people spoke more quietly because they could ask quick questions without crossing the room. Once I saw the figures, I supported extending the layout to the rest of the office.

Transkrypcje - zadanie 2 i 3

Speaker 1

I used to watch long revision videos because it felt productive. The problem was that an hour later I could remember the examples but not explain the rule myself. Now I pause after a short section and write what I understood from memory. It takes more effort, but my test results have improved.

Speaker 2

My younger brother is preparing for the same history exam next year, so I started helping him once a week. I thought I was doing him a favour, but having to answer his questions exposed the gaps in my own knowledge. If I couldn't explain an event simply, I knew I hadn't understood it properly.

Speaker 3

I kept making ambitious plans to study for three hours after school and then skipping the session because I was tired. I finally changed to twenty-five minutes every day, even at weekends. The sessions seem almost too short, but because I actually do them consistently, I cover much more over a month.

Speaker 4

People always told me group study was motivating, so I joined two classmates at the library. We spent half the time comparing notes and the other half talking about everything except the exam. I concentrate better on my own, and now we only meet at the end of the week to check difficult questions together.

Zadanie 3 - podcast

Five years ago, the Riverside Repair Project began with a single Saturday event in a room at the back of a local community centre. The organisers expected people to bring broken lamps, radios and other small electrical devices. Instead, the biggest category turned out to be clothes - especially coats with damaged zips and jeans that needed simple repairs. The project grew quickly. At first, visitors simply arrived and waited for a volunteer, which sometimes meant standing in a queue for more than an hour. These days, most people reserve a time online, mainly so that long queues can be avoided, although a few walk-in places are still available. The organisers estimate that repaired items keep about 620 kilograms of material out of landfill every month. They already have volunteers who can deal with clothing, furniture and basic electronics, but demand is changing. At the moment they are particularly keen to hear from people with experience of repairing bicycles, because the cycling workshop is always fully booked.
